The Holy Spirit inspires us to pray. A few months ago I shared with you some of my favorite prayers—ones that have touched my heart. Here are a few more in honor of the Most Holy Trinity... Prayer to the FATHER by Blessed Charles de Foucauld “Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you. I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures. I wish no more than this, O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul; I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands, without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father. Amen.” Prayer to the SON by St. Claude de la Colombiere “Lord Jesus, You share my burdens, You take them upon Yourself. You listen to me fondly when I tell you my troubles. You never fail to lighten them. I find you at all times and at all places. You never leave me. I will always find You wherever I go. Old age or misfortune will not cause You to abandon me. You will never be closer to me, then when all seems to go against me. No matter how miserable I may be, You will never cease to be my friend. You tolerate my faults with admirable patience. Estimados Amigos y Familias de Santa Margarita María, El Espíritu Santo nos inspira para orar. Hace algunos meses compartía con algunos de mis favoritos oradores—unos que han tocado mi corazón. LA SANTISIMA TRINIDAD Por Humberto Beltrán.

Hoy celebramos la fiesta de la Santísima Trinidad: la fiesta de Dios Padre, Dios Hijo y Dios Espíritu Santo. O sea, la fiesta de las tres caras de Dios: las formas en las que Dios se nos ha ido revelando. Nosotros siempre andamos en busca de Dios y nos hacemos una imagen clara o confusa de El. Jesús nos fue descubriendo poco a poco la real imagen de Dios.

La primara cara de Dios. Dios-Padre El primer descubrimiento fue el de que Dios es Padre. En una parábola conmovedora se nos muestra como el padre del hijo prodigo: aquel que, ante un hijo rebelde, está siempre con los brazos abiertos. Así es Dios: no es un creador frío e indiferente que nos echó al mundo y nos dejó olvidados. Dios nos ofrece una imagen de Padre y sólo desea que formemos una familia donde haya amor. El es un Padre que tiene interés por nuestra felicidad y por nuestro destino humano. Para las personas del Antiguo Testamento, Dios era un Dios temible. Cuando se presentó a Israel en el desierto, lo hizo entre truenos y relámpagos que estremecieron al pueblo y entonces dicto su ley. El evangelio nos presenta a un Dios bondadoso que cuida con esmero de sus hijos.

La segunda cara de Dios. Dios-Hijo. El segundo descubrimiento es el de Jesús. El se llama Salvador y es Dios con nosotros. No es más un Dios lejano, sino el Dios encarnado. El quiso compartir todas nuestras experiencias humanas y se hizo hombre. Tuvo una familia pobre y muy sencilla, con las incomodidades de la vida campesina. De joven fue carpintero. De adulto, supo lo que era luchar y sufrir, tener aspiraciones y fracasos, llorar ante la muerte de un amigo, ser perseguido y morir. Vivió en sí mismo todas las experiencias humanas. Y por eso se sintió cerca de nosotros. Es un Dios que se puso de nuestro tamaño para compartir nues-

tro destino humano y así darle sentido a nuestra existencia. Este hombre-Dios salió victorioso de la muerte y con su historia nos levantó. Esta es la segunda cara Dios: es un Dios hombre.

La tercera cara de Dios. Dios- Espíritu Santo. El tercer descubrimiento es el de Dios-Espíritu. Dios quiso hacer de la humanidad una gran familia en la que hubiera amor y unidad. Quiso que ese mismo amor que El nos tenía, nos lo tuviéramos entre nosotros. Ese amor que El nos tiene es el Espíritu Santo. Ese mismo Espíritu es el que circula por la familia de creyentes, como sangre que da vida y unidad, Es la fuerza que crea en muchos un ansia de hermandad. Es la fuerza que empuja a muchos en la lucha por la justicia. Es el vínculo de familia que nos une en una misma fe y esperanza. Esta es la tercera cara de Dios: el Espíritu de amor. Esta es la imagen de Dios como nos la presenta el evangelio. Así se nos ha manifestado El, y así es más fácil comprenderlo y amarlo. Al ver a Dios en la imagen de Padre nos predisponemos a la confianza. Al ver a Dios, hombre como nosotros, nos hace sentirlo cerca, a nuestro lado. Al ver a Dios como un amor que viene de El hacia nosotros y que nos une como miembros de la familia, da un calor humano a nuestra religión. Es más fácil descubrir y amar a un Dios así. No tenemos que ir demasiado lejos para dar con El: basta acercarnos a nuestros hermanos, a todos nuestros prójimos; allí, en su alegría o en su tristeza, está Dios.

Reflexión. En esta misa nos hemos reunido en familia bajo la mirada de nuestro Padre. Conmemorando el sacrifico y la victoria de nuestro hermano, Jesús y nos sentimos unidos por el mismo Espíritu de amor.

PROTEGIENDO NUESTROS NIÑOS Al enseñar “seguridad corporal” se ayuda a detener abuso sexual infantil Cuando enseñamos a los padres y destacamos que las partes privadas de sus hijos es privada y estar alertas con adultos que puedan estar “atrayendo” a un niño al tocarlo, besarlo o abrazarlo. Por lo regular, un niño le dice a su padre o madre si ella o él no quiere que alguien la/lo abrace o bese. ¡Enseñe a los padres a escuchar a sus hijos y a respetar sus deseos! Insista con los adolescentes sobre la importancia de la “seguridad corporal total” en sus relaciones con los demás. Dígales, “Sólo porque una persona es una amistad cercana o aun un amigo o amiga, eso no les da derecho para tocarte en una forma que te haga sentir incómodo”. Al enseñar “seguridad corporal total” a adultos, niños y a jóvenes, estamos avanzando en nuestros esfuerzos para detener el abuso sexual infantil y hacer del mundo un lugar más seguro para todos los hijos de Dios. 2014-2015 REGISTRACION DE FORMACION DE FE La Registración para las clases de Formación de Fe 2014-15 ya esta abierta. Las formas de inscripción para primaria, secundaria y la confirmación pueden recogerlas en la Oficina de Educación Religiosa o en la Oficina Parroquial o pueden tomarlas de la pagina de internet de la parroquia. Los estudiantes actuales y nuevos necesitan registrarse. Recuerden que es un requisito de la Arquidiócesis de tener dos años consecutivos de educación religiosa con el fin de recibir los sacramentos. Los formularios y cuotas de inscripción completas deben ser entregadas a la oficina RE. Una copia del certificado de bautismo debe acompañar a todos los registros nuevos. Incluso si un niño fue bautizado en Santa Margarita María Alacoque Parish, una copia de cada certificado necesario (s) se debe incluir a todos los niños que se están registrando para la Formación de Fe para la primera vez.

Registration forms for elementary, junior high and high school confirmation can be picked up at the RE or Parish Offices or downloaded from the parish website. Current and New students need to register. Remember, it is an Archdiocesan requirement to have two consecutive years of religious education in order to receive sacraments. Completed registration forms and fees must be hand delivered to the RE office. A copy of the Baptismal Certificate must accompany all NEW registrations. Even if a child was baptized at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Parish, a copy of each necessary certificate(s) must be included for all children who are registering for Faith Formation for the very first time.

Did you know that bullying is a form of abuse, and therefore is forbidden in our Catholic schools? Bullying typically consists of direct behaviors, such as teasing, taunting, threatening, hitting, shoving and stealing. But it might also be indirect, such as spreading rumors that cause victims to be socially isolated through intentional exclusion. Cyber bullying, which involves the use of the Internet or mobile phones to send inappropriate messages and images to or about others, is also behavior that is not tolerated in our Catholic schools. If you suspect bullying of a child at school, please contact the school principal with your concerns.

I am so excited to announce that our first group of 10 students graduated this year!! Five students have entered college. Four are girls and four are studying to be much needed teachers. The fifth student plans to pursue nursing. Every year we remember Father Rodgers and his loving service here at St. Margaret Mary by sending money for support of Chilubi, a rural elementary and high school in Zambia. In the past six years, we have raised between $2000 and $12,000 annually. The monies have provided: eye glasses school desks (where students were sitting on the floor) solar panels (providing electricity for the first time) and tuition support for a group of 35 students Fr. Rodgers says that these contributions have brought hope to the children of Chilubi Basic School. The continuation in school of female students is especially gratifying. Please help Fr. Rodgers and the children of Zambia by donating to this annual collection. Place your donation in an envelope and write Zambia on the outside. Checks should be made out to St. Margaret Mary with Zambia noted at the bottom of the check. Place your donation in the collection by June 29 or bring the money to the church office. Questions?
