HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE Night of Recollection in English Wednesday March 25th 5:15 Mass followed by Holy Hour with reflection on Temptation and Vigilance Holy Week begins with the celebration of the Lord’s Passion on Palm Sunday, March 28/29. Palms will be distributed at every Mass, beginning on Saturday evening at 5:15 PM in English and 7:00 PM in Spanish. On Sunday, March 29, at 8:30 AM, 10:00 AM (bi-lingual) 11:30 AM (Spanish), 1:30 PM, and 6:00 PM in Spanish.

Remember that this Mass is a little bit longer because of the procession and the reading of the Passion of the Lord. This Solemn celebration begins Holy Week!

Reconciliation Monday: Confessions available in the Rectory 4 to 8 pm. The Pascual Triduum begins with the celebration of the entire parish community of the Lord’s Supper, Holy Thursday, April 2nd at 8 pm. Good Friday, April 3rd, the Living Stations of the Cross will take place at 5:30 pm and the Celebration of the Passion of Christ at 7:30 pm. On Holy Saturday, April 4th the Easter Vigil bilingual Mass will take place at 8 pm.

TREE OF LIFE A Tree of Life is a memorial wall in form of a tree. On it, parishioners can memorialize a loved one, living or deceased. This was a gift from Melba Negron & Lourdes Aponte in honor of Fr. Rodriguez. Each individual plaque is in memory of a loved one, a family or a group, the donation is $150 each. If you are interested in purchasing one or more, please speak to Melba at the Gift Shop on Sundays or leave your name and phone number at the office. Thank you!

Catholic Bethlehem Christian Families This weekend of March 21 & 22, 2015 after masses, Representatives will ask for your help and blessing for the native people of the Holy Land in Bethlehem. Families are facing devastating economical strain. These families have relied on the income from their religious hand carved olive wood artifacts. All the proceeds from sales will be sent back to the families of the Holy Land so that they may be able to keep their homes and provide for their families.

Misa de Celebración Anual de Boda de Oro Todas las parejas que celebran su 50 años de casados en el año 2015 están invitados a la Misa Anual de Cincuenta Aniversario de Bodas. La Santa Misa será celebrada por el Cardenal Dolan el Sábado 20 y Domingo 21 de junio del 2015, a las 2:00 p.m. en la Catedral de San Patricio. Favor de escoger una de las dos fechas y contactar a su parroquia para inscribirse. El ultimo día para inscribirse es el martes, 19 de Mayo. Esta celebración esta patrocinado por la Oficina de Vida Familiar + Respeto a la Vida de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York.

Bethlehem Catolico Familias Cristianas Este fin de semana de 21 y 22 de Marzo después de las Misas, pedirán su ayuda y bendición por las familias de la Tierra Santa en Bethlehem. Las familias enfrentan muchas dificultades económicas. Estas familias se han sostenido por los ingresos de artefactos de madera olivo. Todas las ganancias de la ventas serán devueltos a las familias de la tierra santa, para poder mantener sus hogares y familias.

SOBRES Y FLORES DE PASCUA Si desea donar un Lirio de Pascua en memoria de un ser querido, favor de tomar un sobre “Ofrenda Flores de Pascua” y escribir el nombre de su ser querido. Un lirio es $10. Sus seres queridos serán recordados en cada Misa durante la Octava de Pascua! Gracias

ARBOL DE LA VIDA El Árbol de la Vida es un mural conmemorativo . En que los parroquianos pueden memorializar a un ser querido vivo o difunto. Este fue un regalo del Comité de la Providencia a la Parroquia de Las Mercedes en honor del P. Ambiorix. Cada placa individual es en memoria de un ser querido, familia o grupo, cuesta un donación de $150. Nuestra Parroquia tendrá un retiro cuaresmal en preparación para la Pascua Hoy, Domingo el 22 de Marzo de 1:00 pm a 6:00 pm en el Salón de la Iglesia. Aprovechemos este momento con Cristo en comunidad a participar.

REGISTRACION EN LA PARROQUIA Si usted asiste regularmente a nuestra parroquia o ha estado asistiendo un tiempo y no se ha registrado todavía como miembro, favor de hacerlo en la oficina. CLUSTER VIA CRUCIS El Viernes 27 de Marzo a las 6:15pm tenemos como grupo de Iglesias de clúster el Vía Crucis por las calles. Empezara aquí en Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes y terminara en la Iglesia de San José en el 1949 Bathgate Avenue. Todos están invitados a orar en comunidad.
