GREPECAS Conclusion 13/25 - Formats for the Exchange of OPMET Information

Sir, I have the honour to address this letter to you as a follow up to paragraph a) of GREPECAS Conclusion 13/25, which requests to update the formats used by States of the CAR/SAM Regions for the coordinated control of OPMET data. For this purpose, enclosed please find as Appendix A, the format for the exchange of OPMET information, including all the States of the different ICAO Regions. In this regard, I will very much appreciate your Administration to update this format, according to the international requirements of OPMET information of your State, excluding Regions and/or States/Territories with no requirements of OPMET information. At the same time, it should be adjusted to the requirements of OPMET information of CAR/SAM States/Territories, based on the last approved amendment of CAR/SAM FASID tables MET 2A and MET 2B, submitted to you under my communication dated 10 May 2006, and attached to this letter as Appendices B and C, for ease of reference.

Once the referred format is updated, it is important to complete column 3, taking into consideration the symbols included in the explanation of CAR/SAM FASID tables MET 2A and MET 2B, which are included in the note at the end of the format. Additionally, concerning paragraph b) of the referred Conclusion, you may recall that the next coordinated control of OPMET information will be carried out between 10 and 16 June 2006, therefore, the efficiency percentages and the average of the information should also be included in the format attached as Appendix A.
