History, outline and targets The English and Wales Cricket Board restructured the Emerging Players Programme (age 13 to 17) over a lengthy consultation period ending in 2019. Following a successful bidding process, Suffolk Cricket received funding to host our own Satellite Centre in partnership with Essex Cricket. Suffolk's history since it's inception is one of lots of learnings. Programme One, was heavily hit with covid, programme two poor weather through the summer months and programme three ran with relative smoothness and success. We've just heard that one of last years cohorts is to be offered a place on the Essex Academy. The programme has a number of minimum standards which gets audited regularly by the ECB to ensure we remain compliant whilst our primary purpose, as directed, is to produce cricketers for the First Class Academies. Players will be sent to Essex at various times through the programme if they are deemed ready*. This could be bi monthly sessions, adhock or not at all. (more details will follow on this in due course)
Phase One, Two and Three Phase One This is our induction phase and lasts until the end of October. It will compromise of a series of technical challenges, strength and condition assessment and class room sessions. These sessions take place on: 11th 13th 18th 19th 25th
