10 NORMAS DE CONDUCTA PARA TODOS LOS USUARIOS DE LAS PISTAS 10 RULES OF CONDUCT FOR ALL SKIERS AND PISTE USERS RESPETO A LOS DEMÁS / RESPECT FOR OTHERS Los usuarios de las pistas deben comportarse de modo que no puedan poner a otros en peligro o acarrearles ningún perjuicio, ni por causa de su comportamiento ni de su material. Skiers and piste users are requested to behave in a way that will neither endanger, harm nor annoy others, whether by reason of their conduct or equipment.

CONTROL DE LA VELOCIDAD Y DE LA CONDUCTA / CONTROL OF SPEED AND CONDUCT Todo usuario de las pistas debe adaptar su velocidad y su conducta a sus capacidades personales, así como a las condiciones generales del terreno y del tiempo y del estado de la nieve. All skiers and piste users are requested to adapt both their speed and their conduct to their personal ability, and to the general conditions of the local terrain, weather and snow.

ELECCIÓN DE LA DIRECCIÓN POR EL QUE SE ENCUENTRE MÁS ARRIBA CHOOSING THE LINE THAT KEEPS TO THE HIGHER PART OF THE SLOPE El hallarse en una posición más elevada con respecto a otros, permite elegir una trayectoria; por tanto, se debe elegir la trayectoria de modo que se preserve la seguridad de todas aquellas personas que se encuentren más abajo. When you are relatively higher up on a slope than others, you are in a position to choose your route. Consequently, you should always choose the route that will ensure the safety of all those who are below you.

ADELANTAMIENTO / OVERTAKING Los adelantamientos pueden efectuarse por arriba, por abajo, por la derecha o por la izquierda, pero siempre de manera suficientemente holgada y teniendo en cuenta las posibles evoluciones de la persona adelantada. When overtaking, you can pass above, below, to the right or to the left of other skiers, but always make sure to leave sufficient space to allow for possible movements and changes of direction of the person being overtaken.

EN UN CRUCE DE PISTAS Y AL INICIAR UN DESCENSO / AT AN INTERSECTION AND AT THE START OF A DOWNHILL RUN Después de una parada o en un cruce de pistas, todo usuario debe asegurarse por medio de un examen visual hacia arriba y hacia abajo, de que puede incorporarse a la pista sin peligro para otros ni para él mismo. After a halt or at a point where pistes intersect, all skiers and piste users are requested to ensure, by carefully looking up– and downhill, that they can safely join the run without any danger to others or themselves.

ESTACIONAMIENTO / STOPPING Todo usuario debe evitar pararse en pasajes estrechos o sin visibilidad; en caso de caida, debe retirarse lo más rápidamente posible. All skiers and piste users are particularly requested not to stop along sections that are narrow or with little or no visibility. In the event of a fall, please make every effort to move out of the way as quickly as possible.

ASCENSO Y DESCENSO A PIE / ASCENDING AND DESCENDING ON FOOT Todo aquel que se vea obligado a remontar o descender una pista a pie, debe utilizar el borde de la pista, vigilando que ni él mismo ni su material puedan representar una peligro para otros. Persons who, for any reason, have to ascend or descend a piste on foot, are requested to keep well to the side of the run and to take care at all times that neither they nor their equipment pose any danger to others.

RESPETO A LA INFORMACIÓN, AL BALIZAJE Y A LA SEÑALIZACIÓN RESPECT FOR INFORMATION, MARKINGS AND SIGNPOSTING El usuario debe tener en cuenta las informaciones sobre las condiciones metereológicas, el estado de las pistas y de la nieve. Asímismo, debe respetar el balizaje y las señalizaciones. All skiers and piste users are strongly advised to pay close attention to information on prevailing weather conditions, state of the runs and snow. They are likewise requested to respect markings and signposting at all times.

ASISTENCIA / ASSISTANCE Toda persona involucrada en un accidente o testigo de éste, debe prestar asistencia, en particular dando la alerta. En caso de necesidad, y a requerimiento de los socorristas, debe ponerse a disposición de los mismos. Anybody who is involved in or is witness to an accident is required to lend assistance, particularly insofar as raising the alert is concerned. In case of need, and if so requested, members of the public are expected to place themselves at the disposal of the rescue and first-aid staff.

IDENTIFICACIÓN / IDENTIFICATION Toda persona, testigo o que se vea involucrada en un accidente, debe dar a conocer su identidad al servicio de socorro. Anybody who is involved in, witness to or in any way connected with an accident, is required to report to the rescue and first-aid unit for identification purposes.
