POWER MONITORING EXPERT Power Monitoring Expert (PME) is an energy management platform that has been developed over many years by Schneider Electric. This software gives users a way to collect data and display useful dashboards, diagrams, and reports to help drive their energy efficiency, uptime, and protect their equipment. PME supports a large offering of metering devices for water, air, gas, electrical, or other energy sources.

DIFFERENTIATORS DRIVE ELECTRICAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY By using the information that can be collected in a PME system, end-users, or a technician from the FTI team, can find ways to lower peak demand charges and overall kWH usage by: Tracking day-over-day usage to determine consistency on intuitive dashboards Trending peaks and determining what devices drive those peaks Monitoring usage of key processes or building equipment groups to compare when things should be on, compared to when they are consuming energy. Similar techniques apply to non-electrical energy sources as well.

PROTECT FACILITY & PROCESS EQUIPMENT Looking at power quality information in a PME system let’s the user take steps to resolve issues that would otherwise damage or shorten the life of their VFDs, Motors, Power Supplies, or Light Fixtures by: Alerting the end-user to excessive harmonics, voltage issues, or poor power factor Giving insight into where power quality problems are originating (site or utility)

DEFEND AGAINST DOWNTIME AND OUTAGES Using the information and alarming inside a PME system allows the user to: Be alerted when breakers are getting close to tripping See data on what happened in the past to prevent outage or trip recurrences Expand systems confidently with accurate peak usage information

SUPPORT YOUR COMPANY’S SUSTAINABILITY OBJECTIVES Reports and Dashboards inside PME can easily let the use report on: Facility conservation progress and load profile (for solar design) Total energy usage vs. production output (when integrated into manufacturing systems) Utility usage vs. Solar or other Distributed Energy Resource production
