But it’s her hair that’s rendered us speechless. Hadid has traded her signature copper blonde for a glossy, red auburn shade. Hair stylist Esther Langham turned on the volume, pulling it back into a slick high ponytail bolstered with some extensions. Finished with a Prada barrette, Hadid has no doubt cemented red hair as one of the biggest upcoming trends — the MET Gala being the perfect place for the big reveal. This year was no exception as the supermodel stepped out in a stunning Versace look that was picked for her by designer and one of tonight's hosts, Donatella Versace herself. Earlier Monday, the model took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of note from the designer saying she could "wait to see" her at the event.
To grace the red carpet for 2018, Gigi donned a one-shoulder gown with beaded crystal detail throughout to mimic a stained-glass window. She accessorized with gold bobby pins, jeweled earrings and a simple box clutch.
Gigi Hadid is a redhead—again! The supermodel debuted the fiery color on the 2021 Met Gala red carpet. A natural shade of bronde just a day before during New York Fashion Week, Hadid's new color is sure to inspire a million salon appointments tomorrow morning.
Hadid wore her new red hair high up in a retroinspired ponytail, with her hair cascading down past her shoulders in loose, glossy waves. Her pony was accented with a black and crystal Prada brooch at the base of the tail. The look oozed glamour, thanks in part to her classic makeup choices like a black cat-eye liner, powdery blue shadow, and a matte, pinky-nude lipstick. Hadid's hair was styled by Esther Langham, colored by Keith Shore of Serge Normant, and her makeup was done by Erin Parsons.
Remember that time you saw Gigi Hadid at the Met Gala and were like, "Damn girl, where's that eye shadow from?" And Gigi was like, "Oh this old thing? It's not out for another three months, at least," before sashaying into the media void that is the actual Met Gala?
So perhaps it should come as no surprise that for her turn on this years’ Met Gala red carpet, the 26-yearold mixed her own custom eyeshadow shade. As Hadid’s makeup artist Erin Parsons revealed on her Instagram Story, the model blended her own blue hue, inspired by Prada’s signature colour.
``I was always in front of the camera. My mom was really passionate about photography I have pictures of my whole life. I've always just been in front of my mom's camera and it's always comfortable to me.``
