Faith Formation Classes – for children who have never been to catechism classes and children who after celebrating their First Communion wish to continue their Faith Formation. For first time students please bring a copy of your child’s Baptismal and Birth Certificates. Sacrament Preparation Classes (Penance and First Communion) – Only for children in the 2nd. grade or above who have completed one year of Faith Formation and KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE SIGN OF THE CROSS AND KNOW THE BASIC PRAYERS SUCH AS: OUR FATHER, HAIL MARY, GLORY BE, ACT OF CONTRITION AND THE CREED. Children who do not know the prayers will be placed in Faith Formation Classes for one more year before entering the Sacrament Program. If your child does not know these prayers yet, please help him/her learn them by practicing prayer at home. RCIC – For children and adolescents 7 – 17 years old who have not been baptized. Last day to register for Sacrament classes will be October 5, 2016.

REGISTRATION FEES Faith Formation Classes - $40.00 per child (a deposit of at least $15.00 is required upon registration). Nuestro Padre En La Fe La Carta a los Hebreos hoy canta un himno de alabanza a Abraham y a su fe, sobre la cual se fundan la religión judía, la cristiana y la mahometana. Abraham es llamado “padre” de la fe por más personas en el mundo que cualquier otro; numerosas como la arena de la playa o las estrellas del cielo. La Carta a los Hebreos nos dice que esta fe firme lo impulsó a obedecer el llamado de Dios cuando lo envió a buscar una tierra desconocida y le dijo que sería padre de una raza poderosa, aunque consideraba su matrimonio infecundo. Pero la fe de Abraham, nos dice el autor de la Carta a los Hebreos, le permitía poseer lo que esperaba y conocer lo que no podía ver. ¿Cuántas veces nos vemos en simples sucesos cotidianos de nuestra vocación cristiana llamados a un sitio desconocido o enviados a hacer algo que no creemos poder hacer? ¡Qué afortunados somos por tener a nuestro padre Abraham como nuestro guía y ejemplo! Formación en la Fe – para niños que nunca han asistido a clases de catequesis y niños que después de celebrar su Primera Comunión desean continuar su formación. Si es la primera vez que inscribe a sus hijos, debe traer consigo una copia del Certificado de Bautismo y del Acta de Nacimiento (de cada niño). Preparación para Sacramentos (Penitencia y Pr imer a Comunión) – Únicamente para niños en el segundo año escolar o más alto, que ya han completado un año de Formación en la Fe y saben COMO HACER LA SEÑAL DE LA CRUZ, y las oraciones básicas tales como: EL PADRE NUESTRO, EL AVE MARIA, EL GLORIA, ACTO DE CONTRICION Y EL CREDO. Los niños que no sepan las oraciones tendrán que inscribirse en las clases de Formación en la Fe nuevamente y esperar al próximo año para ingresar al Programa de Sacramentos. Si su hijo/a aun no sabe estas oraciones por favor ayúdele a aprenderlas por medio de la práctica. RICA – Para niños y adolescente de 7 a 17 años de edad que aún no han sido bautizados. El último día de inscripciones para las clases de Sacramentos será el 5 de Octubre, 2016

CUOTAS DE INSCRIPCION Clases de Formación en la Fe - $40.00 por estudiante. (Un depósito de por lo menos $15.00 por estudiante es requerido al momento de inscripción y el resto se pagará después). Clases de Preparación para la Primera Penitencia y Primera Comunión - $72.00 por estudiante del 8 de Agosto hasta el 15 de Septiembre. Las inscripciones tardías serán del 19 de Septiembre hasta el 5 de Octubre con un cargo adicional de $10.00. Se requiere un depósito de por lo menos $32.00 por estudiante al momento de inscripción y el resto se pagará después.

Our Father In Faith The Letter to the Hebrews today sings a hymn of praise to Abraham and to his faith, upon which are founded the religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Abraham is called “father” in faith by more people on earth than anybody else, numerous as the sands of the seashore or the stars of the heavens. Hebrews tells us it was this foundational faith that led Abraham to obey God’s call when he heard it, though he was called to journey to a land he did not know and told he would father a mighty race through a marriage he thought was barren. But Abraham’s faith, the author of Hebrews tells us, was his realization of what he hoped for, and the evidence of what he could not see. How often are we, in simple daily events of our own Christian vocation, called to an unfamiliar place or told we are to do something we do not believe we can?
