Generation gap
The gap between the old people and the young is called the generation gap. The generation gap is not only the age difference between young people, their parents, and grandparents, but it is also caused by differences in opinion between two generations; it can be differences in beliefs, differences in views like politics, or differences in values.
Conflict Caused from Generational Gap
People of different generations view things differently. They live in an imaginary land where everything can be achieved. An example from the story "Two Kinds" The mother believed that everything was possible if only one made an effort, and she ended up pushing her daughter too hard, hoping that she would become a prodigy. This led to the relationship between the two being damaged.
