Please read this instruction booklet carefully before using this device. Warnings • Do not use this device without first viewing the instructional video. Failure to use this product strictly in accordance with the instructions and the instructional video could result in injury to your skin. • Do not operate this device without the plastic safety cap securely in place. • Using the device in one place for too long may cause skin irritation and abrasions. • Never use the device above the cheekbone or below the eyebrow. • Avoid areas with broken capillaries, rosacea, scabbing or open sores, tender acne lesions, or sensitive areas of the skin. • Not recommended for severe acne. • Do not use any other type of mechanical exfoliation or chemical exfoliation (harsh acids, peels, etc.) for at least 4 days after using the Defy Microderm Treatment. • Do not use products containing retinol or Retin-A for at least 4 days after using the device. • Do not allow water to get inside the vacuum hole. • It is best to consult a physician prior to use if you are unsure or have any questions about microderm use.

Defy Microderm Treatment Device Instructions Step 1: Assembly There are four discs available. Use the white disc the first 2-3 times you use the device and move up as you become more comfortable using it. Those with sensitive skin should not use the black or red intensity levels. Disc Color

Important: There are two disc sizes—the larger for the body (i.e. elbows, hands, décolleté, etc.) and the smaller for the face. The large disc should not be used on the face.

1. Push disc tightly onto the metal tip at the end of the device. (To remove a disc, just pull off.) 2. Place the properly-sized cap over the disc. Screw until tight. The seal must be tight to ensure proper suction from the vacuum. 3. Plug cord into the device and twist ¼ turn to secure. Plug the cord into a power outlet. Remember not to operate this device without the plastic safety cap securely in place. The top of the disc should be just barely below the top of the cap so that the vacuum can suck the skin to the disc.

Step 2: Preparation 1. Cleanse and dry the desired treatment area, removing all dirt, makeup, and oil. Skin must be dry, not wet or damp, when using the device. 2. Make sure hair is pulled back and all facial accessories are removed.

Step 3: Treatment 1. Using the fingers of your free hand, stretch the skin to create a smooth surface where the tip will make contact. 2. Turn the device on. Ensure that the cap is flush with the skin as you make contact. The motor sound will change when suction occurs. 3. Move the disc in upward and horizontal motions until you have treated all of the desired area. 4. Keep the tip moving constantly over skin surface—do not hover in one spot. 5. Use light pressure with early treatments, starting with one pass of

the device across the skin. As you become more familiar with the device, you can increase the pressure and/or number of passes according to your needs. Be careful not to apply too much pressure though. Flaky dead skin may appear on the surface of the skin you treat. Pinkness of the skin is normal because of the professional quality of this treatment.

Step 4: Device Clean Up 1. Rinse the filter (which keeps the dead skin cells from being sucked into the vacuum) thoroughly under warm running water. 2. Do not get water in the vacuum. It is important to clean this filter every time you use the device—if you don’t, dead skin cells will clog the vacuum and the device will stop working properly. 3. Let the filter dry completely before putting the device away. 4. Use a soft cloth or tissue to wipe any residue out of the cap and motor shaft.

Step 5: Skin Cleanse Wipe or rinse any dead skin off your face. Apply Defy Triple Action Toner to better prepare skin for Defy treatment products.

Step 6: Facial Care Products Apply your other Defy facial care products as usual. Be sure to wear sunscreen during the day and avoid excessive sun exposure for 3-4 days following the treatment.

Step 7: Maintenance The discs should be replaced every 3-4 treatments and are available for purchase at morinda.com/defy. For maximum results, grit on the discs must be fresh. The filter (available at morinda.com/defy) should also be replaced every 6 months. Use the Defy Microderm Treatment device once a week for 10-12 weeks. After that, only use every other week for 2-3 months. The Defy Microderm Treatment can then be used once a month to maintain results. Primer paso: Ensamblaje Existen cuatro discos disponibles. Usar el disco blanco las primeras 2 a 3 veces y cambiar de disco gradualmente mientras se acostumbra a utilizar el dispositivo y se sienta más cómodo. Importante: Existen dos tamaños de discos – el más grande para el cuerpo (Ejemplo: Codos, manos, escote, etc.) y el más pequeño para el cutis. El disco más grande no debe de usarse en el cutis. 1. Empujar el disco firmemente en la punta de metal al final del dispositivo. (Para remover el disco, simplemente jalarlo.)

2. Colocar la tapa del tamaño correspondiente sobre el disco. Girar hasta que el disco este firmemente en su lugar. El sello debe de estar apretado para asegurar la succión. 3. Conectar el cable a la unidad y girar ¼ de vuelta para afirmarlo. Conectar el cable a la fuente de electricidad. 4. Recuerde no usar este dispositivo sin que la tapa plástica de seguridad esté asegurada en su lugar. 5. La parte superior del disco debe de estar un poco más abajo de la parte superior de la tapa para que pueda succionar la piel hacia el disco.

Segundo paso: Preparación 1. Limpiar y secar el área que se va a tratar, remover toda la suciedad, maquillaje y aceite. La piel debe estar seca, no mojada o húmeda cuando se utilice el dispositivo. 2. Si el tratamiento es aplicado en el cutis, asegurarse de levantar el cabello para evitar que interfiera también es recomendado remover cualquier accesorio facial.

Tercer paso: Tratamiento 1. Usando los dedos de la mano libre, colocar los dedos en la piel y estírala para crear una superficie suave en donde la punta hará contacto. 2. Encender el dispositivo. Asegurarse de que la tapa este al nivel con la piel mientras haga contacto. El sonido del motor va a cambiar cuando ocurra la succión.

3. Mover el disco en trayectorias verticales y horizontales hasta que se haya dado tratamiento al área deseada. 4. Seguir moviendo la punta constantemente sobre la piel – evitar mantenerse en un mismo lugar. 5. En los primeros tratamientos utilizar una presión ligera. Empezando con una pasada del dispositivo sobre la piel. Al familiarizarse más con el dispositivo, se puede incrementar la presión de y/o el número de veces que se pase sobre la piel de acuerdo a tus necesidades. Sin embargo, tener cuidado de no aplicar demasiada presión. Células muertas pueden aparecer en la superficie de la piel que se está tratando. Un color rojizo en la piel es normal debido a la calidad profesional de este tratamiento.

Cuarto paso: Limpieza del Dispositivo 1. Enjuagar muy bien el con agua tibia. (Esto evita que las células muertas de la piel sean succionadas), con el agua tibia fluyendo. 2. Usar un trapo suave o un pañuelo desechable y limpiar el residuo en la tapa y el motor. 3. Permitir que el filtro se seque completamente antes de guardar el dispositivo. 4. No permitir que entre agua en la aspiradora. Es importante limpiar el filtro cada vez que se utilice el dispositivo – de no ser así, células muertas pueden tapar la aspiradora y el aparato dejará de operar adecuadamente.

Quinto paso: Limpieza facial Limpiar y enjuagar la piel para eliminar piel muerta sobre el cutis. Aplicar el Tonificador de Triple Acción Defy para preparar la piel de mejor manera para los productos de tratamiento Defy.

Sexto paso: Productos de Cuidado Facial Aplicar los otros tus productos faciales DEFY como se hace normalmente. Asegurarse de utilizar protección solar durante el día y evitar el estar expuesto excesivamente al sol por los siguientes 3 a 4 días después del tratamiento.

Séptimo paso: Mantenimiento Se deben de reemplazar los discos cada 3 a 4 tratamientos y estos están disponibles para su compra en morinda.com/defy. Para máximos resultados, el área en los discos debe estar limpia. El filtro se debe reemplazar cada 6 meses (disponible en morinda.com/defy). Solo se debe utilizar el dispositivo de Tratamiento Microdérmico Defy una vez por semana durante 10 a 12 semanas. Después, usar cada 2 semanas durante 2 a 3 meses. El Tratamiento Microdérmico Defy puede entonces ser utilizado una vez al mes para mantener los resultados deseados.
