COMMENCEMENT OF NEW SESSION YEARS OF EXCELLENCE WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK | 1 14th AUGUST CELEBRATIONS, SCFB On 15th August, 2022 new session 2022-23 was started. All the students including new admissions were warmly welcomed by the principal, coordinators and teachers. After having an introductory session, teachers pasted welcoming tags on their diaries. Beautiful bookmarks were also presented by the teachers as welcoming gesture. Students thoroughly enjoyed in their new classes and studied enthusiastically. HITEC Boys Campus organized a combined ceremony of Middle Section, Cambridge Section and College to celebrate 75th Independence Day. Students showed skills of oratory in English and Urdu language and expressed their compassion towards the motherland. The Principal HITEC addressed the students and advised them to learn valuable lessons from the glorious history of Pakistan. 14th AUGUST CELEBRATIONS, SCFG 14th AUGUST CELEBRATIONS, JS HITEC School and College for Girls organized the 75th Independence Day ceremony in Musharaf Hall. The students participated vigorously and expressed their love for Pakistan through speeches and singing national songs in choir. An ex-student of HITEC SCFG, Momna Azhar, who runs her own social welfare organization, was also invited to motivate the students to help others. Independence Day was celebrated at HITEC Junior School with great enthusiasm as patriotism was in the air. They were wearing badges and holding Pakistan’s flag. A heart-warming tableau was performed by junior hitonians to depict the struggle of independence from 1847 to 1947. National Songs became the voice of every heart as junior school choir chimed everyone’s favourite mili naghmy.


YEARS OF EXCELLENCE | 2 WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK PLANTATION DRIVE 2022, SCFG ORIENTATION SESSIONS, SCFB SCFG executed a plantation drive on 22nd August, 2022 keeping on its theme “Plant for Birds” to create awareness among students to be sensitive about environment and co-exist with other species of the planet Earth. Students of classes 6th-10th planted trees around the corners of Pre-School ground and promised to take care of them. The Principal discussed the importance of plantation. Orientation sessions were organized at SCFG on 17th August, 2022 for Grade VI and on 19th August, 2022 for Grades VII and VIII. The purpose was to acquaint the parents with the academic routines and practices for the new session so that the school and parents remain on the same page to help students reach higher. The Principal and faculty members were also present to address the queries of the parents and students. PROJECT PRESENTATIONS, M S&C SAFERTY DRILLS, JUNIOR SCHOOL Activity Based Learning provides opportunities for students to collaborate, and helps to develop critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills. The students were assigned projects related with their curriculum like traffic rules, hospital, Sunnah of Eid- ul -Adha. A special morning assembly was organized so that the students could present their efforts. Junior School conducted Fire Drill, Emergency Evacuation Drill, Fire Extinguisher Training, Earthquake Drill and First Aid Drill. All the students, coordinators, teachers and support staff were involved in these drills. The primary objective was to quickly ensure all school students and staff were secured away from immediate danger. These drills were performed to prepare students for an emergency situation.


 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK | 3 In July 2022, devastating flash floods washed away roads, homes and crops, leaving a trail of deadly havoc across Pakistan. One-third of Pakistan was underwater which exceeded every boundary, every norm we've seen in the past. To help the affectees, HITONIANS along with Principal SCFG, SCFB AND Manager Academics conducted a flood relief drive to collect donations in form of Ration, Medicines, Clothes etc.


YEARS OF EXCELLENCE | 4 WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK TREE PLANTATION DRIVER, SCFB SALAH ACTIVITY, JUNIOR SCHOOL The world is in dire need of trees. Unfortunately, the percentage of trees in Pakistan is drastically decreasing. To promote the importance of trees and how planet Earth can be saved, students and faculty of SCFB participated enthusiastically in Tree Plantation activity. The students brought saplings & seeds for plantation. HITEC Junior School conducted a sacred and informative activity of learning and offering Salah (Namaz). Students of class III came in shalwar kameez along with their prayer mats. They gathered at the foyer to learn how to offer 2 rakat nafil. Mr. Qari Fiyaz guided an easy way for beginners to learn how it’s performed, or for anyone who wanted to refresh their knowledge. STUDENTS’ COUNCIL ELECTION, JS GRAND PARENTS DAY, PRE SCHOOL Annual students’ council election was conducted at Junior School on September 7th, 2022. All the students took part in the whole election process enthusiastically. The Oath Taking Ceremony was conducted on September 13th, 2022 with zeal and zest. Head boy, Head girl, Head proctor, deputy head girl, deputy head boy, prefects and council members took an oath to fulfil their duties and pledge to uphold the HITEC motto, ‘In Truth I Triumph’. Grandparents Day is a day dedicated to acknowledge and celebrate the important contribution made by grandparents to the wellbeing and education of children within their family. It is an opportunity for family to show their gratitude and respect for the older generation and to honour grandparents.It was arranged at PreSchool to inculcate the value of elders and its importance in the young minds of Preschool hitontians.


YEARS OF EXCELLENCE WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK | 5 HITEC RAISING DAY & PRIZE DISTRIBUTION HITEC has kept up its tradition of appreciating students’ achievements and motivating them to work hard to fulfill f their dreams and to realize the aspirations of their parents. On 6th September, 2022, a Prize Distribution Ceremony was held at HITEC for the students of classes VI – VIII, who secured overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions in the Annual Examination, Session 2021-2022 in their respective institutions ie HITEC Middle School for Boys, HITEC Middle School for Girls, HITEC Margalla School and HITEC Cambridge School. The worthy Director HITEWT, Brig. Imran Ahmed Malik SI (M) Rtd, graced the occasion as the Chief guest. The Chief Guest and gave away certificates and medals to the top 3 position holders. 6th September also marks the Birthday of HITEC and the Defence Day of Pakistan. On this occasion the presence of HITEC alumni, Aqib Javed and Dr Hareem Nisar was an honour for all Hitonians! Their inspirational speeches motivated the students to excel and make their parents and teachers proud. A beautiful welcome song performance by young students and national songs sung by the HITEC Choir commemorating the Defence Day, added colour to the ceremony. The presence of proud parents of the position holders and the participants was also a source of encouragement for all.


The worthy Chairman HIT Lt Gen Syed Amir Raza (Hilal-e- Imtiaz Military), the Chief Guest for the ceremony highly appreciated and motivated all the students who passed the examination with flying colours. He also emphasized the importance of personality development, moral values and good civic sense which contrib-ute towards development of good human beings and responsible citizens of the country. He further appreci-ated the teachers who enabled students to fulfill their dreams and encouraged them to continue working with the same zeal and enthusiasm. YEARS OF EXCELLENCE | 6 WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CLASS (IX-XII) The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of HITEC Schools and Colleges was held on 28th Sep,2022 to acknowledge the achievements of students who performed exceptionally well in the Annual SLOs based Examination held for the first time by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad at SSC and HSSC levels. Chairman HIT Lt Gen Syed Amir Raza (Hilal-e- Imtiaz Military) and Begum Chairman HIT graced the occasion as chief guests. Certificates and medals were awarded to the brilliant Hitonians who clinched 1st , 2nd & 3rd positions in their respective classes. Over all 17 students secured Gold Medals, 17 were given Silver Medals and 17 students bagge Bronze medals and it was a matter of immense pride for HITEC SCFG that one student secured 1st position in National School of Special Education Islamabad due to her hard work, efforts of her parents and dedication of her teachers. HITEC also rewarded the hardworking, diligent and energetic teachers whose untiring efforts made this day possible.


YEARS OF EXCELLENCE TEACHERS DAY MARGALLA S&C INT. PEACE DAY, JUNIOR SCHOOL International Teachers' Day is celebrated on 5th October across the globe, every year to honour teachers for their guidance and shaping the future generations. The students of M S&C paid tribute to their teachers in a small ceremony organized in the Sr Section. The students recited poetry and sang songs praising the teachers for the pivotal role played by them in their lives. HITEC Junior School celebrated the day with zeal and fervour. A colourful morning assembly was conducted to highlight the importance of peace. Students came in white dresses, held beautiful posters and wore headgear. The event started with the name of Allah Almighty. Junior Hitonians gave English and Urdu speeches in order to spread awareness among students about the significance of peace. ICATS CREATIVE WRITING CONTEST AWAKENERS COMPETITION 2022 ICATS art and creative writing contest’s prize distribution ceremony was held on 15th September 2022 at HITEC Pre School. Out of 10 students Ashtalfa Jamal from grade II was awarded as regional topper in creative writing contest. All the students were distributed with their souvenirs by Director of Academic and the event was also graced with the parents of winners The students of MS&C participated in AwakeneR's Ramazan& Independence Day's online & Competitions. Students prepared videos on Azan, tilawat, naat, English and Urdu speeches. Three students were shortlisted whose writings were selected to be published in the magazine. Hina Yonus delivered her speech on AwakeneR's YouTube channel and won motivational award of cash prize Rs 1,000 in the category of Urdu Speeches. WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK | 7


YEARS OF EXCELLENCE | 8 WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK DECLAMATION CONTEST, SCFG DECLAMATION CONTEST, SCFB Inter-House Bilingual Declamation Contest and Oath Taking Ceremony were held at HITEC School & College for Girls on 11th October, 2022. The speakers from all the five houses, delivered their speeches with enthusiasm. The guest of honour distributed trophy cups and certificates among the winners. The coveted team trophy was awarded to the winner house, Talha House. HITEC SCFB has always thrived to provide academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to the students. The complete development of character and personality is vital for making the students better citizens in society. Today’s event was one of such efforts where the core elements like confidence, sense of responsibility and discipline are groomed. NA’AT COMPETITION HITEC SCFB EID MILAD UN NABI, SCFG To pay homage to the beloved Rasool who is an emblem of kindness and truthfulness, HITEC SCFB organized Inter House Na'at Competition from grade VI-XII. For the event, Director Academics HITEC S&C Ma'am Rubina Akhtar graced the occasion as Chief Guest accompanied by all Principals, Managers and Principal of Government High School as worthy guests. The parents of the participants were also invited. HITEC celebrated Eid Milad un Nabi (S.A.W) on Friday 14th October with religious zeal and fervour to commemorate the 12th of Rabi ul Awal, which marks the birth of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H).The Respected Begum Lt General Syed Aamer Raza, HI(M) Chairman HIT graced the occasion as the guest of honour, accompanied by the Director Academics of HITEC, Ms. Rubina Akhtar, and other dignitaries.


YEARS OF EXCELLENCE WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK | 9 INTER-HOUSE SPORTS WEEK The closing ceremony of “Inter-house Sports Week” was held on 4th November 2022. Begum & Chairman HIT Lt Gen Syed Amir Raza (Hilal-eImtiaz Military) graced the occasion as chief guests accompanied by Director HITEWT, dignitaries from HIT and parents. The ceremony started with a lovely welcome performance by the Preschoolers followed by an energetic parade representing all five houses which instilled passion and patriotism among the spectators. Hula Hoop race, Aerobics show by Junior School followed by P.T display, Karate and Gymnastics added more color to the ceremony. A tug of war match between the parents and the teachers also took place which was a show stealer. Other main features of the event were Tunnel race, sack race and 4x100 Relay (SCFG and SCFB) that boosted the morale of the students and filled them with zeal and passion The honorable Chief Guests distributed trophies and certificates among the winning houses and the organizing team. The closing ceremony ended with the address by the Chief Guest in which he motivated the students to take part in sports and experience sportsman spirit as well. He also appreciated the efforts of the management team and faculty members in organizing a spectacular event.

YEARS OF EXCELLENCE | 10 WWW.HITEC.EDU.PK ALLAMA IQBAL DAY, PRE SCHOOL IQBAL DAY CELEBRATION, JS In commemoration of the birth anniversary of the national poet Dr. Muhammad Allama Iqbal, the students of HITEC Pre School paid a tribute to the national poet in morning assembly by speaking on the personality of the great philosopher and recited extracts of his poetry as well as read aloud Dua ( Lab pay aati hai). Children had also performed tableau on the Poetry of Allama Iqbal. HITEC Junior School conducted three days of events to pay homage to the national poet, recall the history and refresh the essence of Iqbal's literature, and unfold the wisdom and ideology for the younger generation. The most important part of these weeklong activities was the presence of parents. They attended all the events to support the students. They appreciated the efforts made by the students and teachers to make this event CLEANLINESS DRIVE, JUNIOR SCHOOL SAFERTY DRILLS, JUNIOR SCHOOL Junior School organised a cleanliness drive. All the students actively participated in the activity. Teams of students were formed, and each team was assigned a different area of HITEC to explore. They had on masks, gloves, and were carrying garbage bags. They gathered all the trash and spread the message to clean up and rescue the planet. In addition, the students made spectacular posters with environmental and global warming awareness messages. Junior School conducted different safety drills at school like Fire Drill, Emergency Evacuation Drill, Fire Extinguisher Training, Earthquake Drill and First Aid Drill. All the students, coordinators, teachers and support staff were involved in these drills. The primary objective was to quickly ensure all school students and staff were secured away from immediate danger. These drills were performed to prepare students for an emergency situation.
