HOW TO DO AN INNOVATIVE PROJECT
The class of III yr CSBS attended a workshop on August 9, 2022, conducted by our department and featuring Dr. G. Geetha, Dean of Innovation and Professor of IT at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, as the speaker for the occasion. At the beginning of the session, we were introduced to the types of intellectual property rights, with various examples provided, such as copyrights and tin openers, dancing shoes, and cricket bails for design, among others.
PAGE 23
We got familiarised with the rules that would differ based on the territories and the validation of the right according to the geography and the period of validation. For example , for a copyright, it would be 60 years in addition to Author’s lifetime and for patent it would be 20 years from the date of filing. We got sound Knowledge about identifying the problem, building technical knowledge and the ways in which it can be used in various competition, job offers, higher studies and entrepreneurship.
We also got to know a process or a product could be patentable when it meets these three points, they are: It should be Globally New Idea Technological Advancement Industrially Applicable
PAGE 24
Then, after getting sound knowledge on today’s topic, we got into an activity of performing academic research. We searched for the recent ideas of various organizations related to our interested domain and used Google Advanced Search. We then learned about the classification code and all other criteria present in it. We got a hands-on- experience to search those ideas, it was a good thought-provoking session.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP 360° - R. RAJA ARVINDAN AND SMRITI S Success stories of powerful and famous entrepreneurs have always been a source of attraction to the public. Sometimes these stories serve as an inspiration while most of the time it has been framed as LUCK by the society. Is entrepreneurship all about being lucky? Are entrepreneurs an overnight success? Let us discuss. The first thing that comes to our mind when we think about entrepreneurship would be the infamous line “You could be your own Boss”. Now, this is absolutely true and will certainly sound like a BOON for an average “9 to 5” employee who craves the so-called “leisure lifestyle” that comes with this field. However, if entrepreneurship is all about this, then where does the criticism for it originate from? Entrepreneurship serves as a platform from which one could inspire the society provided if he/she is a SUCCESSFUL entrepreneur. If the product or company fails to meet our expectations, it is where the drawbacks related to this field start to hinder. The risk factors begin to emerge significantly and all of a sudden, the ”9 to 5” employees would start to feel that their respective jobs are more secure if not guaranteed. Entrepreneurs need to be “People smart” in particular under the heading of smartness. CONTACTS are everything in this field.
PAGE 28
Relationship with the public in terms of communication, empathy, and understanding basic values in humanity is required to be healthy. Although few budding entrepreneurs go ALL IN with their product, it is safe to say that a practical approach would be to be in a position where the performance of their product in the market does not affect the standard income flow that is required to serve their respective families.
Entrepreneurship is a place where INEQUALITY does not stand a chance. People from any caste, creed, race could be an entrepreneur and that is something revolutionary in the world especially in times like this. The number of startups and entrepreneurs has increased immensely by 68% over the past decade. Now, it is our responsibility as the future generation to join in this movement and to stabilize the world economy.
An entrepreneur should start off by realizing an issue surrounding them and then come up with an EFFICIENT solution as their product that rectifies that particular issue.
In short, entrepreneurship is a beautiful domain where “ Your Passion meets your Profession” . It does not take luck or skill to become an entrepreneur but the sheer will to care about the development of the people around Next, they should work on how their YOU. product sustains in the market through performance and costs as compared to other products that preexist in that field of concern.

Dark Web X Deep -Arjun Hariharan & M Ayman Most of us would have come across the word “Dark Dark Web” Web in movies, but what exactly is it? To know more about the dark web, first, we must know about the 3 levels of the web.
• Surface Web • Deep Web • Dark Web
Surface Web: The “Internet we all know”, is the portion of the World Wide Web that’s readily available to the overall public and searchable with standard web search engines such as bing, google and yahoo. It can be accessed by anyone from anywhere in the world.
PAGE 33
Dark Web : Dark Web is any network that works like a web which cannot be indexed by search engines. It can only be accessed by a specialized web browser. It is mainly used to surf the web anonymously.
PAGE 34
Deep Web: The deep web, invisible web, or hidden web are parts of the WWW whose contents aren't indexed by standard web search engines. This is in contrast to the "SURFACE WEB", which is accessible to anyone using the web. Eg: Medical records, Scientific reports.
How does the Dark Web work? The dark web is accessed by the browser called TOR (The Onion Routing Project). It provides users access to visit websites with the .onion registry operator. Searches or Messages sent via the TOR browser don’t continue to their intended destination.
PAGE 35
Instead, they’re relayed through “nodes,” which are other systems operated by Tor users. At each node, a layer of encryption is begun and thus the message is then sent on to subsequent nodes. Each node knows the identity of the previous node and thus the one that comes next, but doesn’t know the others within the chain. Therefore it’s extremely difficult to trace a message’s entire journey. Websites on the Deep Web use Tor to remain anonymous.
The words deep web and dark web are sometimes used interchangeably, but they are not the same. The dark web is considered a part of the deep web. It is also known as the evil twin of the former. The Deep Web is legal and contains legitimate content whereas the dark web contains more illegitimate content.
PAGE 36
Is the Dark Web Legal? As the name sounds it looks illegal but technically it’s legal. The Dark Web is entirely legal but it is infamous for its illegal activities. Studies show that more illegal activities are done using the dark web than legal activities. You would have known many infamous stories like “Silk Road”, an online marketplace which is known for illegal drugs, and “Besa Mafia” which is known for sex trafficking and terror organisations. However, not all dark web activities are illegal. Even Facebook and the New York times have a site accessible via the dark web.
“END OF THE DAY DARK WEB IS LEGAL BUT USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.”

METAVERSE - JEEVAN MUTHU AND GURU SHANKAR
Metaverse
History
The idea of a metaverse was first introduced in 1994’s Snow Crash, a sci-fi novel, and now cult classic, written by American pen Neal Stephenson. In his book, Stephenson specified the metaverse as an advanced stage of the internet — a virtual option to physical reality. From 1998 to 2004, companies like ThereInc, blaxxun interactive Linden Labs, and IMVU came up with their own, different 3D virtual worlds, games, operations, and online social networking.
A metaverse is a group of endless, participative 3D virtual environments where you (in the form of your digital epitome) can explore places, shop for products, subscribe to services, work with your colleagues, play games, and customize the scenes around you to meet your preferences and essentials of the digital fortune you enjoy. Now let’s gander at some factual background of the metaverse.
“When new things emerge in our world, its best to put some time into researching them and trying to gain an understanding”

Metaverse worth It’s as yet muddled what the metaverse will resemble, however as indicated by request undertaking Strategy Analytics, the worldwide metaverse could be worth$ 280 billion by 2025 and possible development from that point. So generally, individuals from all fields of business will put a ton of tycoon in the metaverse for the improvement of their business which creates an enormous gain for them. While Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson are attempting to get off the Earth, Mark Zuckerberg has his sights set on an alternate break.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO ,Facebook The origination of a metaverse has been portrayed in The Matrix, Pokemon Go, Minority Report, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Black Mirror, and countless different movies, computer games, and Box shows. Regardless, individuals actually anticipate to get through a vivid metaverse in reality. Strangely, organizations like Facebook and Microsoft have before annunciated million-bone plans coordinated towards the making of the metaverse. Facebook’s arrangements to add to the ”metaverse”an improvement slept within the organization’s Oculus computer generated reality division. PAGE 39
Future of the Metaverse Yea if you combine the total trades made by Hollywood, the music diligence, and other film diligence around the globe, the computation still won’t be enough to match the proceeds that the gaming diligence generates alone. Either, by the time 2030, the AR and VR diligence is awaited to boost the global GDP by $1.5 trillion. As of now, the metaverse is used in different fields like games, live shows, for fitness, knowledge and education. We’ll render that these metaverse technologies are going to change the world into one another virtual world.
“METAVERSE isn’t a thing a company builds. It’s the next chapter of the internet overall. ” - Mark Zuckerberg
