In today’s day and age, it is necessary for students to develop understanding of the latest happenings in the industry. They need to develop specialized skills for becoming “Industry-ready”. We at Mitsubishi Electric India’s Factory Automation Systems have taken a lot of initiatives like: 1) Collaboration with institutes and setting of FA laboratories, 2) Sponsoring of Mitsubishi Electric Cup and visit to our factories in Japan, 3) Edumeet, 4) Long term Internship, 5) Supporting for curriculum development and so on. We believe that it is a win-win situation for all of us and is in line with “Skill India” initiative of the Government of India. We intent to expand this collaboration with SRM university for “Bridging the Gap between Industry-Academia”. Having said that, SRM University had taken this initiative to collaborate with Mitsubishi Electric India- & set up a FA Lab to develop a pool of engineers that will be ready to contribute to the automation industries. Since India is a growing economy and it is becoming a huge market for engineering services. It has opened great opportunities for skilled engineers and we think that this trend is set to grow. Finally, I would like to wish all the best to our Knowledge Partners and urge them to make the best of this opportunity to skill up students, support industries to realize PM Modi-ji’s vison of “Make in India”. I believe this journey will continue to empower the young minds and set new dimensions in factory automation sector of India and we need to keep up the momentum to grow to even greater heights! Thank you very much. Message from our Industrial Partner PERSPECTIVE Mr.Vikram Mattoo GM- Factory Automation & Engineering Center, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt Ltd., 05
