Allergy Detection Dogs While this isn’t a new concept, I think it is interesting and different considering I have an allergy. These dogs are typically paired with children, who more commonly have severe allergies. They can sniff out the certain allergens. Some people go in allergy attacks by even breathing, sniffing, or touching the smallest amount of the food their allergic to, so these dogs keep them away from it and carry medication and instructions inside their vests.
Use for Medical Studies: Scientists study animals to learn more about the human body. They can develop medicines, and new surgeries for certain conditions when studying animals and their systems.
Herorats Rats have a keen sense of smell and trainability, they’ve been found to be suited to work as landmine detectors. They are more efficient than metal detectors and cheaper than dogs, the rats (nicknamed HeroRats) are being trained to sniff out landmines, allowing previously unusable land to once again be productive.
