Design universities tend to be limited by tunnel vision. This has a negative effect on students who could otherwise benefit from the richness of complementary knowledge which increases productivity and motivation. The purpose of Ula Dav magazine is to offer an interdisciplinary platform for visual fields. Relevant data that aims for drastic effects in the reader’s attitude is made available. Topics vary from the importance of mental health, to stories of creatives across different fields, and tools for collaboration among diverse platforms such as politics, economics, art, commerce, and culture.

Graphic Design is communication in all its form, visual story-telling being one of them. This dialogue works as a strong tool to engage an audience in a narrative. With this task in hand, photo manipulation plays a key roll thanks to its versatility in transmitting meaning. As part of self-development in relevant graphic design tools, I choose to enhance myself with this practice, believing that it serves as a pillar for the audiences visual experience.

Graphic Design evolves in tune with the advances of technology; in today’s reality that equals a rapid and staggering pace. This has drastic effects on our output as designers; acquiring properties and performing concerts on the Metaverse, the questionable value of NFT’S, cybermoney, and false realities portrayed on social media represent today’s realm. Two hundred year ago a cyber world was unthinkable, today it represents normality. What is the line between transformation of technology and disconnection from reality?

As today’s rapid acceleration of society increases, it asks the youngest for high achievements as early as possible, portraying the false belief that not obtaining/not wanting is being a conformist... and who wants a conformist in a world of outstanding standards? This poster aims to represent the double edge of dreaming to succeed. Poster Work

Tracing and examining the influence of past graphics in modern design activity is of great value for today’s design thinking. In this example, an interpretation of Barbara Kruger’s well-known style was made to emphasize the affluence of understanding renown designers for a more effective practice.

As part of a workshop for promoting tourism and deepening the meaning of New York City, a campaign was created for communicating the city in the eyes of first time visitors. “What is happening NYC?”references the out of the blue experiences only imaginable in this city, such as an adult dancing in the middle of the street, as if no one is watching.
