News from Year 5 In Year 5, the children have been enjoying weekly trumpet lessons with their teacher, Anna. This has been a really valuable and fun experience; the children have learned the notes C, D and E and have used these through various rhythms. Next term, Year 5 will continue to practice their Bhangra piece whilst developing their presenting skills and working as a group to enhance their performance. DT Day During our DT days this half term, Year 5 have been preparing props for the Christmas concert, using their creativity, teamwork and problem solving skills!

Betty’s Blog Hey everyone! It is the last day of term and it has been a really fur-bulous week. I have enjoyed lots of festive fun again this week. I have loved hearing so many classes practiSe for their Christmas concert as I dashed around the school and I was lucky enough to see a few classes paw-form. I got nice and cozy and joined some classes for their Christmas movies this week. I saw a little bit of the Lorax and some of the Nutcracker but I’m not very good at sitting still for a whole movie and had to leave part way through. I went to stretch my legs outside and Year 4 joined me in the playground. They were very excited to find me there and we had a fantastic game of chase and football. I do need to apologise as I furgot not to use my teeth and may have left some holes in their ball. Leja saw me in the corridor in my antlers today and Miss Nafeel challenged her to give some good adjectives to describe them. She told me that they were shimmery, glistening and glossy and I have to agree. They are my ulti- mutt favourite accessory. The Nursery at the Hill and the Nursery at the Park site treated me to a Christmas present. I felt very fur-tunate and thoroughly enjoyed helping to rip the paper off and find my lovely treat. Thank you nursery children! I hope you all have a an amazing holiday and I will look forward to seeing you when we are back in January.
