Religious Education Registration & re-registration 2015-2016 CHILDREN, YOUNG & ADULTS (RICA) ¡¡Remember Religious Education Program has stared !! Futures registrations will be held every Sunday, after the 9:00am Mass until 11:45 during classes at the School . On Weekdays will be at the Rectory Office: Mon. Tue. and Wed. From: 10:00am to 12:00 and 1:00pm to 2:00pm. First time registration, you must bring a copy of your child’s birth Certificate, Baptism Certificate and for Adults as well. Registration for the second time, if you did not submit the documents last year, you must do it now, Your child cannot receive the Sacrament of First Communion or Confirmation without those documents. Third Sunday of Advent

In today’s Gospel we continue to experience John the Baptist urging us to conversion. He tells us to give of our abundance, have a sense of integrity in our daily activities, and know who we are and who Our Messiah is. John the Baptist is too great a lover of truth to be carried away by ambition. He informs those who came to him that he is not the Messiah. He tells us, we must look into our actions, reforming those that are not of good intentions and perfecting those that are. John the Baptist was a firm rock, a man possessed of unshakable stability in the midst of changing circumstances He has courage to admit who he is. Indeed, he who truly knows himself is not annoyed when he is held and treated for what he is. Surely, it is a sign of great interior conversion when God gives us light to know who we are. To be a Christian is the most beautiful title we can give ourselves. Yet, it is not enough to be called a Christian. We must live in a way that one recognizes clearly in us a person who loves God with his or her whole heart. One who keeps the Commandments and frequents the sacraments, and who does things worthy of a true Christian.

Tercer Domingo de Adviento En las lecturas del Evangelio de hoy continuamos escuchando las palabras de Juan Bautista quien nos urge a la conversión. Él nos dice que debemos compartir nuestra abundancia, que debemos hacer uso del sentido de la integridad en el transcurso de nuestras actividades diarias, y que debemos saber con certeza quiénes somos y quién es nuestro Mesías. Juan Bautista ama demasiado la verdad como para dejarse llevar por la ambición. Él va informando a quienes han venido a verle que él no es el Mesías. Él nos dice que debemos examinar nuestras acciones y, en ese proceso, reformar aquellas que no encierran buenas intenciones y perfeccionar aquellas que si las tienen. Juan Bautista era una piedra firme. Él era un hombre poseído por una estabilidad inquebrantable en medio de circunstancias cambiantes. Él tiene el coraje para admitir quien es. Aquel que se conoce a si mismo verdaderamente jamás se molesta cuando es apreciado y tratado por lo que es. Cuando Dios nos otorga la luz para que podamos conocernos como somos realmente, esta es una señal de un gran proceso de conversión interior. Ser un cristiano es el título más hermoso que podemos dar a los demás. Aun así, no es suficiente que seamos llamados cristianos. Debemos vivir de una forma que haga posible reconocer claramente en cada uno de nosotros a una persona que ama a Dios con todo su corazón. Alguien que cumple con los mandamientos y que frecuenta los sacramentos, alguien que hace cosas que son dignas de un verdadero cristiano.
