WHY WOULD WE LIKE TO MEET MS DHONI A presentation by Jaivish Bhatia and Kenisha Verma English activity


Mahendra Singh Dhoni also known as M.S Dhoni was born on 7 July 1981 In Jharkhand, Ranchi. His life has taken a great turning point from a ticket collector to an international cricketer. His fathers name was Paan Singh Dhoni and his mother was Devaki Devi. Do you know that in his school days Dhoni loved to play football and he was an excellent goalkeeper impressed with his goalkeeping an cricket club approached to him. They offered him to join the cricket team as wicket keeper he agreed them and started to fall in love with cricket. This is when his real journey started. He played cricket for three years in that club. Slowly his interest shifted towards batting. He did lots of practice in batting and became the best batsman not only in that club but in the whole school. In 1997 he was selected for under 16 cricket championship. Dhoni was doing two jobs at once on the first side he played cricket and on the second side he was an ticket examinerwhere. Due to lack of time his cricket skills were not improving at all. Then he decided to leave his other jobs and give dedication to cricket. This is how his life came into settlement later he became the captain of Indian cricket team. … Jaivish Bhatia MS Dhoni Was born in Ranchi Jharkhand in an Hindu Rajput family. He was the son of Paan Singh Dhoni and Devaki devi. His paternal village is in almora Uttarakhand. his father shifted from Uttarakhand to Ranchi and worked as junior management position in MECON. M.S Dhoni studied in DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir Shyamali in Ranchi. Some of Dhoni's Childhoods friends were Chittu and Chottu. He always loved Sachin Tendulkar since he was an kid. And his favorite actor was Amitabh Bacchan.


1) MS Dhoni is the only Indian captain who has led India to all three major ICC events. From winning the maiden T20 World Cup in 2007 on his captaincy debut to lead India to a World Cup victory on home soil in 2011. In 2013 he has won the Champions Trophy. 2) 2008 and 2009 Dhoni was awarded the ICC Player of the Year trophy. 3) In 2011, 2012 and 2013 under Dhoni captaincy, India was named as ICC team of the year. 4) Dhoni won the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award in 2007. He led India in a staggering 332 matches, 8 more than Ponting, who had 324 matches under his belt as captain. Dhoni won 178 games and lost 120 while drawing 15 with 6 of them ending in a tie. He holds the record for most wins as an Indian captain in ODIs with 110 games won out of a total of 200 matches.


I want to meet MS Dhoni because he is an amazing cricketer and also one of my favourite.
