Fall Festival in October! The feedback I received from the church community members who responded to possible Fall Festival dates suggested that we keep our festival in October and not bring it into September. We will go with their suggestion. St. Joseph has their festival planned for the last weekend of September and the Knights of Columbus at St. Patrick have theirs scheduled for the second weekend in October so we will plan our festival for the first weekend in October, 6th-7th, and now try to get our entertainers lined up for those dates.

Church book racks The bookracks on the church pews had a slight opening in the front and unfortunately every prayer card that we put in the racks managed to find its way through the opening and onto the floor. We have placed a strip of wood on each bookrack which should solve the problem. School Second floor overhaul The second floor classrooms in the school get less use during the summer vacation months. So, we will begin the installation of the tiles on the second floor in the coming days.

Tour: Some parishioners are planning a four day round-trip to the Ozark Mountains range including a stop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to see the passion play and another stop in Branson, Missouri to see a show. Restrooms in the auditorium The men’s restroom facilities in the auditorium seem to be sufficient although they could do with a face-lift. However, the women’s restroom facilities are far from adequate. There is only one toilet in the womens restroom. We are looking into the possibility of enlarging the restroom by breaking into the storage room that is next to it. We could then put three or four toilets into the enlarged room. All it takes is money We will use any money generated by our church dances or other auditorium activities to further this project.

Los Baños en el auditorio Los baños de los hombres del auditorio estan en buenas condiciones aunque se mirarian mejor si se limpiaran. Sin embargo, los baños de las mujeres no estan en condiciones buenas. Estamos mirando la posibilidad de ampliar los baños usando el cuarto que esta al lado de los baños. Asi se podrian poner tres o cuatro baños. Todo lo que se necesita es dinero  Usaremos todo el dinero obtenido de los bailes u otras actividades para este proyecto. What do you think?
