Welcome to the second issue of Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s newsletter, bringing you the latest updates on the crown jewel of Bukit Jalil.

BUKIT JALIL CITY

2021 welcomes the retail industry with positive hope as we turn an unforeseen pandemic into a golden opportunity to learn, adapt and overcome challenges to better serve our shoppers. This has given us time to embrace operational enhancements for safer shopping experiences and digitisation such as cashless payment trends and connected shopper experiences.

Tenants that have signed on at Pavilion Bukit Jalil are also able to adapt to consumer trends in designing their new stores in line with the new norm, incorporating smart shopping, dining practices and payment solutions. While the use of online shopping has increased especially during the MCO periods, brick and mortar shops still provide the unique touch and feel experience to customers that cannot be replicated anywhere else, as nothing beats the ability to physically walk into to a store and interact with the things you want to buy. While consumer trends evolve, the desire for personal bonding and interaction increased during the MCO periods. The role of Pavilion Bukit Jalil as the Icon of Connectivity and a new social haven will become even more pertinent. The sheer size of the mall, including mega event spaces such as the Centre Court, Piazza and Exhibition Centre will ensure events are organised alongside safe practices, increasing footfall and elevating the excitement for the mall. While the country’s economy is expected to show positive development by Q2 2021 once the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme gathers momentum, so will Pavilion Bukit Jalil pick up momentum in its development. Set to open in Q4 2021, the community is anticipating its opening and we look forward to a great launch and recovery together with you, our valued business partners. Thank you and Stay Safe!
