CAUSA Y EFECTO ""Ellos no escucharon... rechazaron sus preceptos [de Di-

os]... sin tener en cuenta sus advertencias" (2 Reyes 17:14, 15). Los israelitas experimentaron las consecuencias de rechazar a Dios hace miles de años, y la sociedad moderna sigue el mismo camino. Si las causas son semejantes, ¿por qué tendrían los resultados que ser diferentes? Persistir en el pecado; recibir la paga del pecado: la muerte (Rom 6:23). Condenar a otros, incluso en silencio, y ser condenado (Mt 7:2). Dejar de dar limosna, y causar que otros sufran (Eclo 14:4-9). Dejar de evangelizar, y cosechar una sociedad sin Dios. Pon tu confianza en la anticoncepción y cosecha la cultura de muerte. Sembrar el viento, y recoger tempestades (Os 8:7). Nuestra naturaleza humana pecaminosa tiende hacia la muerte (Rom 8:6), e incluso la muerte nos persigue (Sab 1:16). Sin embargo, tenemos la esperanza en Jesús, que es nuestra única esperanza. Cuando vivimos solo para Jesús, Él rompe el ciclo destructivo del pecado y nos da una nueva serie de consecuencias: Arrepiéntete, obedece los mandamientos de Dios, adora solo a Él, y un millar de generaciones de tus descendientes recibirán Su misericordia (Ex 20:5-6; 1 Pe 2,10). Siembra la Palabra de Dios, y cosecha mucho fruto (Mc 4:8). Confía en Dios, paga el diezmo, da limosnas, siembra tu dinero generosamente para Él, y Él dejara todo puro para ti (Lc 11:41), abre las compuertas del cielo para bendecirte sin medida (Mal 3:10), y te dejará cosechar abundantemente (2 Co 9:6). "Yo he puesto delante de ti la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición. Elige la vida" (Dt 30:19). Rompe el círculo vicioso. Obedece a Dios.

Oración: Jesús, sálvame de mí mismo. Sálvame para una vida de obediencia, servicio, santidad y adoración. Entrego mi vida totalmente a Ti. Promesa: "La medida con que midan se usará para ustedes" (Mt 7:2). Alabanza: Alberto ha asistido con amor a la misa diaria durante más de cuarenta años. Según el Código de Derecho Canónico, se otorga el Imprimátur (permiso de publicar) a Un Pan, Un Cuerpo por el periodo 1 de Junio de 2016 al 31 de Julio de 2016.

¡RESERVA LA FECHA! Vamos a celebrar el 25 Aniversario de Nuestra Señora de las Nieves el viernes 5 de agosto de 2016. La noche comenzará con el Rosario a las 5PM seguido por la bendicion de la estatua de Nuestra Señora de las Nieves. La Misa a las 6 PM celebrada por nuestro Obispo Joseph J. Tyson Esto será seguido por una cena al aire libre, también será una despedida al Padre Alex. Una colección especial se llevará a cabo en Julio para ayudar a pagar los gastos. Una hoja para anotarse para la cena tendrá lugar en una fecha posterior.

Te has preguntado alguna vez ¿sobre la recepción de la Eucaristía y la Preciosa Sangre? 2DO Y 3ER MARTES DE CADA MES EN EL SOTANO DE SAN FRANCISCO JAVIER MISA 6:00PM SEGUIDO POR PLATICAS 6:30PM

CAUSE AND EFFECT "They did not listen...they rejected [God's] statutes...and the warnings which He had given them." —2 Kings 17:14, 15 The Israelites experienced the consequences of rejecting God thousands of years ago, and modern society follows the same path. If the causes are similar, why would the results differ? Persist in sin; receive the wages of sin: death (Rm 6:23). Condemn others, even silently, and be condemned (Mt 7:2). Fail to give alms, and cause others to suffer (Sir 14:4-9). Fail to evangelize, and reap a godless society. Put your trust in contraception and reap a culture of death. Sow the wind, and reap the whirlwind (Hos 8:7). Our sinful, human nature tends toward death (Rm 8:6). However, we have hope in Jesus, Who is our only Hope. When we live for Jesus alone, He breaks the destructive cycle of sin and gives us a new set of consequences: Repent, obey God's commands, worship Him alone, and a thousand generations of your descendants receive His mercy (Ex 20:5-6; 1 Pt 2:10). Sow God's Word, and reap much fruit (Mk 4:8). Trust God, tithe, give alms, sow your money generously for Him, and He will wipe everything clean for you (Lk 11:41), open the floodgates of heaven to bless you beyond measure (Mal 3:10), and let you reap bountifully (2 Cor 9:6).

Did you ever wonder... About Receiving the Eucharist and Precious Blood? Catholics can participate in Holy Communion if they are properly disposed, which means they are unaware of any mortal sins that aren’t yet confessed and absolved. They don’t publicly dissent from Church teaching, for example abortion. They have fasted (not eating, or drinking anything but water or chewing gum) for one full hour before receiving Holy Communion. The fast is one hour before Communion, not the beginning of Mass. We bow our head before receiving Holy Communion as a sign of respect. After the priest, deacon or extraordinary minster says “The Body of Christ, we reply “Amen”, which means “Yes, I do believe it is Jesus”. And we bow and say “ Amen” after the minister says, “ the Blood of Christ”. We are to receive the Body and Blood of Christ, not take it. So we either open our mouth and stick out our tongues or place our hands open one on top of each other to receive the Host. If we receive the Holy Communion in our hands we need to immediately put the Host into our mouth. Never take the Eucharist back to your seat or put it in your pocket. We are blessed to have been given a Gift that is beyond words, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the second person of the Blessed Trinity! True God and True Man!

"I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life" (Dt 30:19). Break out of the vicious cycle. Obey God.

Prayer: Jesus, save me from myself. Save me for a life of obedience, service, holiness, and worship. I give my life totally to You. Promise: "The measure with which you measure will be used to measure you." —Mt 7:2 Praise: Albert has lovingly attended daily Mass for over forty years.

The Our Lady of the Snows statue is installed in the Marian Platz in The Meadows and the landscaping is almost complete. Please join your fellow parish members and Knights of Columbus members in completing this project. The contributions to this project by members and visitors alike have been very generous and the Knights are appreciative for all the assistance they have received: donations, time, labor, and your prayers. SAVE THE DATE! We will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Our Lady of the Snows Parish on Friday, August 5, 2016. The evening will begin with Rosary at 5PM followed by the blessing of Our Lady of the Snows statue. 6PM Mass celebrated by our Bishop Joseph Tyson. This will be followed by a catered picnic dinner that will also be a Farewell to Father Alex. Special collection will be held in July to help pay for expenses. Sigh ups for dinner will occur at a later date.

4º Partido de Futbol Anual PARA RECAUDAR FONDOS Partido entre los Sacerdotes y los Seminaristas. 4th Annual Priests vs. Seminarians FUNDRAISER Soccer Match Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Marquette Stadium – 5400 W Chestnut Ave, Yakima Come cheer for your favorite team as the priests and seminarians again play for the winning title and to raise funds to support our seminarians’ education! It currently costs approximately $52,000 per year for each young man to attend seminary training. This community event is a great way to show your support to the young men who will serve the Diocese of Yakima in the future! All proceeds from the sale of food, drinks and souvenir T-shirt will go to support seminarian education. (Please note, therefore, that no outside food or drink will be allowed.) Please join us for a fun and exciting evening! The gates open at 5 p.m. and the game begins at 6 p.m.

Our Lady of the Snows FOOD BASKET

As part of our daily walk with Jesus we are called to serve the needs of our community. Therefore, we continue every weekend bringing food to Mass and place in our food basket. As part of the offertory the food basket will be brought up with our weekly collections.( for a list of appropriated food items check the list attached to “our Lady’s Pantry” located in the Parish Hall.

OLS Annual Rummage Sale June 24th and 25th

Clean your closets, clean your garage then donate your gently used items to the OLS Rummage Sale. Now collecting items at Church. Place in the small classroom and sign-up to help set-up and sell. Sign-up board is in the entrance of the Church. Thank You! Please save your clean, gently used items for the sale: kitchen things, small appliances, linens, craft supplies, home decor, jewelry, tools, clothing and shoes. Smaller items may be dropped off starting June 4th, mark R.S. and place in the small classroom. Save larger items for the week of the sale. (Cannot take building/remodeling materials.)

Did you ever wonder …. About Receiving the Eucharist and Precious Blood? Catholics can participate in Holy Communion if they are properly disposed, which means they are unaware of any mortal sins that aren’t yet confessed and absolved. They don’t publicly dissent from Church teaching, for example abortion. They have fasted (not eating, or drinking anything but water or chewing gum) for one full hour before receiving Holy Communion. The fast is one hour before Communion, not the beginning of Mass. We bow our head before receiving Holy Communion as a sign of respect. After the priest, deacon or extraordinary minster says “The Body of Christ, we reply “Amen”, which means “Yes, I do believe it is Jesus”. And we bow and say “ Amen” after the minister says, “ the Blood of Christ”. We are to receive the Body and Blood of Christ, not take it. So we either open our mouth and stick out our tongues or place our hands open one on top of each other to receive the Host. If we receive the Holy Communion in our hands we need to immediately put the Host into our mouth. Never take the Eucharist back to your seat or put it in your pocket. We are blessed to have been given a Gift that is beyond words, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the second person of the Blessed Trinity! True God and True Man!
