A very special thanks to all who helped decorate our church for the Christmas season and assisted in the posadas. For all who gave their time in the celebration of the liturgy, especially our Lectors, Eucharist Ministers, Ministers of Hospitality, Cantors, Choir and Altar Servers. You are all blessed in your generosity. 2017 calendars will be available at the entrance of the church.

In the Bishop’s document, “Built of Living Stones”, Churches must be places “suited to sacred celebrations,” and dignified” and beautiful. Churches are more than meeting rooms in which various activities must be accommodated. They are also symbols of the presence of Christ in the world and a beacon of hope to the world. By their design, they can announce to the world that the Living Body of Christ gathers there to remember and celebrate the marvelous work of God. After prayer and reflection, we will restore the Sanctuary to its original state. A sub-contractor will remove the carpet and restore the slate. We spoke of possibly placing marble on the Sanctuary but in speaking with Architect, Ray Bertoldi, it would be better to return to its original material and color. We are working with the sub-contractor to begin the work on January 16th, 2017. There will be more details in forthcoming bulletins.

Parents are reminded that Christian Formation Classes resume this week January 2nd-3rd. We look forward to seeing you all!

There will be NO Christian Formation CLASSES Monday, January 16th and Tuesday, January 17th due to Martin Luther King Day. Classes will resume the following week at the regular scheduled time and students are required to attend.

First Reconciliation Retreat will be held Saturday, January 21st, 2017, from 8:30am - 12:00pm in the Social Center. All First Holy Communion II and Sacrament Formation students are required to attend. Students must have the Act of Contrition memorized. At least one parent is required to attend the retreat with their student. We ask each parent to bring a snack for 10 children. Please DO NOT bring other siblings as this is a special day for the student making this Sacrament.

El Retiro para la Primera Reconciliación se realizara sábado, 21 de Enero de 8:30am – 12:00pm en el Salón Social. Todos los estudiantes en clases de Primera Comunión II y Formación de Sacramento requieren asistir. Traer memorizado el Acto de Contrición. Al menos un padre de familia debe acompañar al estudiante. Mass Intentions We are now accepting Mass Intentions for 2017. If you are interested in having a Mass Intention on a special day, please come to the office and fill out a form. All Mass Intentions must be paid at the time of request. A Mass Intention is ten dollars per Mass. Masses are filled on a first come; first serve basis. Just a reminder that if we have a funeral scheduled the day you requested, you will be contacted and your Mass will be rescheduled.
