Join us in our Eucharistic Liturgies where we gather to be nourished by the Word and the Sacrament, to give thanks to the Lord for His presence in our lives, to grow as God’s children, to seek guidance in the various challenges of life, and to gather the strength to serve as His disciples.

1. Conversemos:

♦ In our desire to make our children happy, do we make things too easy for them and give them everything they ask for without any effort on their part?

2. Read together the story on the children's page and the Bible readings for today 3. Message for our family this week God gathers people of all nations and languages. God does not reject anyone. Do we reject those that are different from us? Corrections and criticisms hurt, but if we are open to learn, they can bring us good fruits of peace and holiness. Jesus recommends his followers not to seek what is easier, but to strive for a faithful and humble discipleship, without thinking that because we are in church we have made it.

Are we sometimes too soft and allow ourselves to be ruled by the whims and demands of other family members? On the other hand, do we sometimes try to make everyone see who has the power? Do we look for the easy way out for what shows more love even if it is more difficult? In what have placed our efforts this week?

5. What our faith teaches us: As part of the essence of religion, Christians accept that love sometimes demands sacrifices. Loving others sometimes means sacrificing something so that others have it better. Jesus Christ was willing to suffer and die for the liberation of all. The Eucharist we celebrate is a sign of that sacrifice. In It, we remember and relive the death of the Lord.

Prayer for Vocations God and gracious God you have called us through our Baptism to discipleship with your Son, Jesus Christ, and have sent us to bring the Good News of Salvation to all people. We pray for you to grant us more priests, deacons, religious brothers and sisters and lay ministers to build up your Church here within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Inspire our young men and women by the example of Blessed Junipero Serra to give themselves totally to the work of Christ and his Church. We ask you this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Jesús recomienda a sus seguidores que no busquen lo más fácil y que se esfuercen por un seguimiento fiel y humilde, sin pensar que porque venimos a la iglesia ya lo tenemos todo ganado.

5. Lo que nos enseña nuestra fe:

Los cristianos aceptamos, como esencia misma de la religión, que a veces el amor pide sacrificios. Amar significa sacrificarse para que otros sufran menos. Jesucristo estuvo siempre dispuesto a padecer y morir por la liberación de todos. La Eucaristía que celebramos es signo de sacrificio en ella recordamos y revivimos la muerte del Señor. Oración por las Vocaciones Dios clemente y generoso, tu nos has llamado a través de nuestro Bautismo al discipulado con tu Hijo, Jesucristo, y nos has enviado para anunciar la Buena Nueva de salvación a todos los hombres. Te rogamos que nos concedas más sacerdotes, diáconos, religiosos y religiosas y ministros laicos para construir tu Iglesia aquí en la Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles. Jesus says that those considered to be less are the ones welcomed by God. Do you treat all kids at school with respect? Jesus says that not everything is easy and that we must make an effort to do what pleases God.

What am I going to do? Speak to Jesus and tell him that you know that not everything in life is easy. And that one must not be bragging to be the best, because that He does not like. The Sacraments In Confirmation, we are given the strength of the Holy Spirit to follow Jesus without fear with a strong decision to do the things that pleases God. We receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit and we can give good fruits of peace, love kindness and joy.
